River District Energy

Beam Craft stood the glulam frame system which will house the mechanical equipment in this energy hub building.  The columns are an impressive 55 feet tall which posed some bracing challenges.  The glulam frame was wrapped with large CLT wall and roof panels.  Integrated steel frames for mechanical duct openings also made this mass timber installation interesting.  This mass timber structure, which was supplied by Kalesnikoff Mass Timber, will be exposed on the interior and visual to pedestrians thru the large south-facing glazing wall along Sawmill Crescent.
